The Belle Rock group recently commissioned a survey of online casinos within the UK. The target group researched were female online casino players from the UK and their preferred online choices.
It was found that between 2007 & 2010 the number of female online casino players in the UK grew by a staggering amount putting the number of women players almost on a par with the number of male online casino players. The figures for 2011 show 48.38% of players were women while 51.62% of players were men! Pretty close!
So why are more women turning to online gaming? Well, it is suggested that women are attracted to the now safer-than-ever environment of online gaming and of course, the comfort and convenience of playing from your own home!
