The reports coming from various online gaming companies detailing the figures for the first half of the year have been a mixed bag with some boasting exceptionally healthy results while the rest are approach the next half of 2010 hoping luck looks kindly upon them!
Bingo software giant - Playtech are in the camp of happy operators as their gross income is reported to be up by over 30% to €87.9million. Playtech have started the year forging a number of new and successful partnerships, among which is the acquisition of Virtue Fusion as well as working with gaming monsters; William Hill.
Playtech’s acquisition of Virtue Fusion, a competitive bingo provider, set Playtech back over €37 million, which has so far generated €4.5 million in revenue. The deal now means that Playtech has the very largest network within the entire online bingo industry.
For the player, this means that those bingo sites that fall under the network have access to to bigger and better promotions offering bigger and better prizes. With Virtue Fusion one of the industries’ leading software providers – Playtech’s acquisition has increased their viability for expansion in the UK and beyond.

Virgin Bingo.
The lucrative deal with William Hill, buoyed by the World Cup earned Playtech €15 million pushing their overall profit up by 45% year on year.
