Those adorable reality lovebirds that we got to know watching The Bachelor; The dashing Jason Mesnick 33 (a real Mr. Knightly for those girls who love a bit of Austen) and the lovely Molly Malaney 25 tied the proverbial knot on Saturday beneath rain clouds at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
They said their vows in front of 300 guests, family & friends, including fellow Bachelor stars Trista and Ryan Sutter (who met on The Bachelorette 2002), DeAnna Pappas, Jesse Csinsak and Kiptyn Locke.
Malaney looked magical in a delightful strapless Monique Lhuillier dress topped off with Neil Lane jewels, while Mesnick looked slick and handsome in his classic dark suit.
Malaney walked un-accompanied down the aisle to "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" peformed by American Idol's Jason Castro and the brief ceremony was romantically concluded with the release of white doves.
Mesnick and Malaney got engaged in October 2009 while on a trip to New Zealand. They met on another on the 13th season of the Bachelor. In the flash of an eye; Mesnick, from Kirkland, went from heartthrob to heartbreaker in the reality show's gut-wrenching finale. His first choice was fellow contestant Melissa Rycroft, however Mesnick changed his mind, dumped Rycroft and instead picked runner-up Molly Malaney.
Their wedding ceremony will be broadcast on the 8th March on ABC special, The Bachelor: Jason and Molly’s Wedding. It will be the reality show's second wedding, the first being between fellow guests Trista and Ryan Sutter, who met on The Bachelorette in 2002.
