Gambling addict, 19 year old Sam Harrison of Liverpool has just pleaded guilty to manslaughter but denies committing murder Mahesh Wickramasingha.
The prosecution detailed Sam Harrison’s gambling addiction revealing he lost over £2,000 on gaming machines the night of the killing.
The victim, from Sri Lanka, had two children and came to the UK in search of a better life for himself and his family. Instead, on the 29th Novemner Mr. Wickramasingha received stab wounds to his throat killing him.
Defendant Sam Harrison admits responsibility for what he described as a robbery attempt that went wrong.
The trial continues.
